Planetary ball mills are essential equipment for mixing, fine grinding, small-sample preparation, nanomaterial dispersion, new product development, and small-batch production of high-tech materials. These compact, multifunctional units offer high efficiency with low noise operation, making them ideal for research institutions, universities, and corporate laboratories.
The system consists of four grinding jars mounted on a rotating disc. As the disc rotates, the jars revolve around the disc's axis while simultaneously rotating on their own axes, performing planetary motion. The grinding balls within the jars collide during high-speed motion, effectively grinding and mixing samples. This process can achieve particle sizes as small as 0.1 micrometers (1.0 × 10⁻⁴ mm) using both dry and wet methods.
The microcomputer-controlled planetary ball mill features programmable computer control with touchscreen interface. Users can input parameters including rotation speed, direction alternation, and grinding time to meet specific processing requirements.

Model Selection: XQM-(Total Volume of 4 Jars). Example: XQM-4 indicates a 4L total capacity (four 1L jars). Select based on required material processing volume.
Grinding Jar Materials: Choose from stainless steel, agate, corundum, tungsten carbide, nylon, zirconium oxide, PTFE, or polyurethane lining based on material compatibility requirements. Vacuum jars available for oxidation-sensitive materials.
Grinding Ball Selection: Available in chrome steel, stainless steel, agate, alumina, or zirconium oxide. Select material that won't contaminate samples. Standard sizes: Φ5, Φ8, Φ10, Φ20 mm.
Optimal Grinding: Combine large balls (for crushing) with small balls (for fine grinding) for best results. Efficiency depends on ball selection, sample properties, and operating parameters.
